Description:

“Escape” is a personal piece I completed in March of 2020, right before the Pandemic, depicting a cutaway of a salt-box style cabin. Simple and isolated, it represents an idealized way to escape the modern day world.

One of my favorite hobbies from childhood was miniatures and dollhouses. The miniature-like proportions and cutaway nature of the illustration are purposeful to evoke a sense of whimsy.

Image was selected for Downtown Lynchburg’s Artist Alley in 2021.

Please see the FAQ for why the image has added noise/texture.
